1978-2000
Holtz's team changed to white facemasks at the end of his first year in the Orange Bowl against Oklahoma. The helmet has remained unchanged since then, except for a 15% enlargement of the Hog decal in 1995, with slight modifications to the razorback. Helmet shells are Riddell and Schutt (Bike).

2001-Current
Beginning in 2001, the Razorback decal underwent minor changes, including sharper tusks on the razorback, as well as the hind hooves being pointed towards the front of the helmet instead of down. This change was a reflection in a school-wide update of the traditional logo. Helmet shells are Riddell and Schutt.
